In may when we managed to flip Sarahs car and almost drown in the river in one weekend. ..I heard through the grapevine that a comment was made "something always happens when your mom is around". It was said with disapproval by some on who really cares for them. I laughed at the time. ... But it bothered me and I didn't know why. It's not easy to be the absent parent believe me. I don't want to be that anymore. But one thing is for sure. .. when I'm around there's always an adventure. I told Dylan on Sunday I would take him on a date. Well I got a late start and it was pouring out and I was exausted. Not looking forward to driving to mariposa then back to fresno then back to mariposa and finally to ahwahnee. But I just couldn't tell him no. We had the best time. I bonded wIth son and we talked about everything under the sun. Something bad could have happened. He would have been much safer at home playing video games. Is that really what parenting is about? I can't give my kids much but oh do they have some stories to tell. And they are better prepared for life. People are constantly telling me they can't believe I'm doing such and such. Well why not? I can't believe you are sitting in your house AGAIN when there are so many things you could be doing with your kids! !! Just look at them- they are safe. But how will they appreciate safety if you never save them from drowning? ! Oh but you have so many nice things in your home. I like telling stories better. Brad do you remember when we slid on the ice in the suburban and Sydney said "......"
